We had the privilege of working with Kristy and her customer service, professionalism and dedication to us as homebuyers is something that isn’t easily found in today’s world. She was amazing. In fact, there were many days I wondered if she actually ever slept. This was our first home building experience and we had very high expectations. We relocated to Lafayette from Florida so we were unable to be present for much of the building process. We did however, have almost daily contact with Kristy during every phase from design to closing. There was a constant stream of emails, pictures, texts and phone calls to make the home we envisioned a reality. Every concern we had was promptly addressed. She had a genuine concern for us not only as customers but as people and in helping us get acclimated to our new home and the area. The true measure of quality however is how you are treated after closing. We can say without reservation that Brian Keene stands behind his homes. We have had questions and some very minor warranty work done and Kristy is just as available to us today as she was when we were in the building process. When we told Keene Homes that our home was sold they stepped up and made sure that our new home was going to be ready as soon as our house closed. They kicked in to second gear and got the job done. We closed on the old house one day and closed on the new home the next day. It was great!

We stumbled on Keene Homes while casually thinking about buying or building a house in the next few years. We visited one of their Spec Homes and we were impressed by the quality of construction and the comfortable design of that house so much that we stepped up our plans toward building a house that very day.
Kristy, Keene Sales Manager, was gracious about giving her time and attention to our questions as potential new homebuilders. Impressed with her experience and approach we made the final decision to build a house with Keene and the process began with Kristy guiding us step-by-step, room-by-room, product-by-product through planning a personal, beautiful home on a lot that we love. Once construction began we met regularly with Kristy and/or Brian onsite and we had full access to our house otherwise. By the time we spent our very first night in the house we felt like we were “home.”

I wanted to drop you a note to express my sincere gratitude. For our family the search for the right forever home was long and exhaustive. We had visited literally hundreds of homes and met nearly every realtor in the county. Fred Vanhook a realtor who had been our at our last showing for a possible home suggested maybe we need to stop trying to find 85% and meet someone who could give us 100% of what we were looking for. When we initially met with Keene Homes, we were introduced to a sales representative named Kristy Wozniak and Brian Keene. She was helpful without being pushy and communicating with us in an honest and respectful manner. Brian offered lots of great ideas and more importantly was very receptive to our ideas. We had seen many homes with lots of great parts i.e. bull nosed corners, quoins, built in storage lockers, and a multitude of others. Brian and Kristy listened carefully offered input and worked hard for us. Kristy talked to us nearly daily, she also walked us through every step in the process from initial planning and site selection to final closing at the title company. All throughout the building process, we were kept “in the loop” regarding our home’s progress and consistently felt in control of things. Even when sub-contractors had the inevitable scheduling problem, Kristy (and Brian Keen himself, when necessary) took control and resolved the issues quickly and calmly. Our blueprint and designs took about 30 days to get nailed down to “perfection”. Construction started in early September and we closed on our new home December 10, 2010! Yep we got to share Christmas here. Our home was completed on-time and without cutting corners.
The home building process with Keene Homes was superb and, I highly recommend the experience offered by this team to anyone, we would build with them again. In fact, I have put Brian together with a number of my closest friends, please feel free to contact me directly if you would like to know anything more, Kristy has my number. I realized that our home would be extremely visible both during and after construction. Living and working on Edwood Glen Golf Course, I needed a builder who would be sensitive to the business operation and also my personal situation as my wife was expecting throughout construction.
Brian Keene’s biggest quality is integrity. Keene Homes are honest, warm, hardworking people that we trust. Brian helped modify the floor plan many times without hesitation. Kristy was always pleasant and very nice to work with and utilized her experience to provide advice and recommendations in a subtle way. She kept the construction schedule and financial documents very well organized. Throughout the construction phase Jeff, the project manager, kept the site tidy and accessible. Jeff was available to answer any questions we had.
All of the above resulted in our beautiful Edwood Glen Golf Course home that was constructed with fantastic workmanship. Thus, we can’t say enough great things about Keene Homes. I recommend them with great enthusiasm and without any reservations.
